I don't know, I don't think it is that bad. I mean almost every DD out there is gonna have people that don't agree.

It isn't like this is rude or gratuitous. I thought it was a unique, witty and well done idea.

Seems kind of unfair for you to be judging this persons art piece. Especially seeing as this is your second journal in a row calling out pieces you don't deem worthy.

Don't mean to sound rude or anything, I just never really understood the point of publicly bad mouthing DDs. If you have a problem, there is an admin that you can complain to.

In all honesty this particular piece is very well done, and yes, perhaps it deserves a DD. But the point I'm trying to make is that there are a lot of DDs that are chosen simply because they have breasts in them. I love nudity in all forms, I'm a big fan of it. But I think that featuring the work should require more than just nudity. For example, a while back I requested to feature a piece that was beautiful and humorous, but the admin decided to feature an entirely different piece from the gallery because her tits were out and they called it erotic. Eroticism wasn't ever the reason I chose the piece, but I guess that was just more important.
I want to stress that I have nothing against the artists as I support ALL artforms no matter how insignificant they may seem, only the people that are choosing the features.

To me, deviantART is more than just a gallery. It's where people come for support and love from one another in an artistic sense, and communal sense, and I fear we've lost sight of that.

And somehow, the best photographers seem to come from Canada.

If you didn't see something wrong with this piece, why single it out then? I get that you feel that boobs are the deciding factor in what is being choses for DDs these days but I don't think that is why this piece was chosen at all.

Just single out the people choosing the feature then. Don't take it out on artists who just making some art and never asked for the DD in the first place. It comes off as tacky and disrespectful.

And I think that there are a lot of photography DDs that are chosen simply because they are "shocking" and there are a lot more nude shots of women on this site then men. I don't always totally agree with the selections either but oh well.

You definitely have a good point. I probably shouldn't have put this one up as well, because aside from the frustration I feel with the DD, I do actually like the artwork.
